Hi. I was referred to you by the NYC Consent Working Group on FetLife. Next week there is a local community leader (who happens to also be a predator, but I’m not going to get into that here) giving a lecture at a community college. He promotes some very bad ideas, such as not needing safe words, negotiation being unnecessary, and combining BDSM with alcohol and drug use. They are in the process of making up flyers, but said they won’t have any in time for this lecture. They told me you might have some materials that I could pass out. If you do, please email any files to the address listed and I’ll print them out to bring. It is an open event, all ages, and there will be some very impressionable young people there who will be getting some very bad advice. I’d like to do what I can to counter that.
Thanks.
